Ethical Guidelines for Door-to-Door Sales

Vesivek’s ethical guidelines for door-to-door sales define how we conduct ourselves in customer interactions. Through these guidelines, we aim to ensure that we always treat people with respect, listen to them, and act with honesty — whether in their homes, during phone calls, or in any other situation. At the same time, we also strive to influence the development of general industry practices in the best interests of our customers.

How do we interact with the customer?

Every Vesivek employee has been trained in our ethical principles and is committed to acting in accordance with them. We have also established procedures for how to respond if we notice any deviations from these guidelines.

  • Right at the start of the customer interaction, we introduce ourselves, the company we represent, and its product.
  • We are not pushy or aggressive in our sales approach; instead, we listen to our customers and their needs.
  • We offer our products and renovation services only for problems that clearly require solutions. We tailor our proposed solutions to the customer’s actual needs and provide sufficient information on all possible options to support the customer’s decision-making.
  • It is our duty, in accordance with our professional expertise, to inform the customer if they are about to undertake unnecessary repair work.
  • Under no circumstances will we take advantage of a customer’s inexperience, medical conditions, age, or limited language skills.
  • We always take responsibility for the products we sell to our customers and the renovation services we provide, and we ensure that the project is completed in full in accordance with the agreement, without delay and with due care.

How do we operate at a client’s home?

  • Our sales staff, just like our installation team, must respect the privacy of our customers and their homes in their work and while on site.
  • We will not engage in any sales or inspection activities or move about unnecessarily on the customer’s property without the customer’s explicit consent.
  • When we are on the customer’s property, we avoid causing unnecessary disruption and respect the customer’s wishes.
  • We are bound by a duty of confidentiality regarding any confidential information obtained from a client or about their home.
  • We do not leave marketing or other materials at a customer’s front door or in any other visible location on their property without the customer’s consent.

We are open and honest in everything we do

  • We keep the promises we make to each other, our customers, and our other stakeholders.
  • We communicate about our activities in a transparent and open manner.
  • The customer is provided with all the information relevant to their decision-making. Product and pricing information is presented clearly and in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • A representative of Vesivek shares only information and product details that are in line with the company’s policy.
